Afternoon Coburg

To support getting people organised early, we've put together the sign up genius for this weekend's Championship round. Times of events might change slightly but not dramatically at this stage.

Some of the exciting "other" things happening.

On Friday night we have burgers as a dinner option at the canteen, and a bake sale and lemonade stand in support of the Good Friday appeal - please support our athletes Emma and Etta who are running this! This is a great initiative for a good cause and proud to see our kids making this happen.

On Saturday we have our Chris Rizzo Handicap(all our 100m winners) , parents relay(four parents from each club), whole centre award presentations, and to celebrate 60 years of Coburg Little Athletics we will be having a whole centre photograph taken and providing a sausage sizzle and special treats!

So please stay for this and celebrate this mighty achievement with us. Parents will be able to purchase copies of the photo for themselves and we plan on getting a large version for display (and possibly even a digital version to update our website!!), so it would be good to have as many of our athletes in the picture as possible.

Please remember that uniforms should be worn - either Coburg or Club tops, with coles patches and name tags. If there's no bar code to scan it slows up the finish line process.

A visit from local State MP Anthony Cianflone and other members of the 'Save the track' campaign so we can publicly thank them for their persistence and hard work to ensure we have a dedicated track for many years to come. It was an amazing campaign and our track community united loudly!

EVERY event is a medal event. Athletes have a chance to collect medals many times over the weekend. As athletes are spread across three programs of events our field of athletes competing in each event is smaller. This increases the chance of medals and also decreases time parents are out at each age group for duties. Don't be afraid to sign up for multiple events taking this into account.
