The numbers sum up what many felt at times today.....it was a BIG DAY!

We had 472 competing athletes with 245 coming from across Victoria. We combined three weeks of programs into one days competition and then added medal ceremonies on top of that!

Our athletes really shone and stepped up. An incredible SEVENTEEN centre records and 281 PB's recorded today for our kids! To do this on a long day, in heat, with increased competition and events close to each other is amazing. Well done!

Our volunteers.....each and every person who helped out today deserves a shout out. MANY did all day roles with added stress and event clashes complicating things. Our setup crew, timing crew, marshals, sign in table, starters, chiefs, canteen helpers, medal presenters, event volunteers and those that helped with pack up. Your massive effort doesn't go unnoticed and is greatly appreciated by the whole community at Coburg little ath's.

To our kids that asked what they could do to assist you represent the best aspect of our sport. You helped with events, equipment, medal presentations and supporting other athletes. We are extremely proud of the many athletes that stepped up showing pride in their Centre today.

Lastly to our ever amazing CLAC COMMITTEE...Today doesn't happen without hours of behind the scenes admin, printing, emails, start lists, manually adding athletes, canteen stocktake, equipment upgrades, clash lists, sign up genius, the program itself and lastly their all day team effort to put today on. The teamwork and chemistry is top notch!

We hope all athletes and families are enjoying a well deserved relaxing night.
