ANY athlete can register to compete at Regional level from U9 and up.
A few points of difference to our weekly competition.
: Athletes choose what events they compete in. This can be just one or up to five for older age groups. (Do the event you love or pick a few)
: Athletes represent Coburg in their red Coburg singlet against athletes from other centres such as Keilor, Essendon, Preston,Whittlsea, etc
: Competition is over two days. You may have events on both days but are only required at track when competing or volunteer duties
:All parents of competing athletes are allocated a volenteer role they are required to fill. NMR officials take the main roles of timing, chief etc so these roles are assisting on events or Marshalls.
:ALL EVENTS HAVE MEDALS AWARDED to first, second and third. Big chunky ones!
:All gold medalists gain automatic entry to the little athletics State championships. Further state progressions are judged by times, distance etc.
Regionals are a great chance to compete against a wider range of competition and represent Coburg as a centre. Being the host this season there has never been a better chance to try this next step up in competition.
We will have team managers on site all the weekend of competition to support and assist your athlete.
If you have any queries please enquire this weekend at your club table, CLAC Registrar Kristin (Newlands) or any of our CLAC committee in their red polo tops.
Join up today!
cheers
Chad
