On Saturday night our VP of Competition Chris Porter was honored as a top four finalsit in volunteer of the year for Victoria Little Athletics. Although Chris didn’t take home the big award it was great recognition of the work he puts in for our centre.

Chris is the current President of St Oliver’s, heads up the team on competition day, creates the event programs, sign up genius, regional events team manager and a committee member.

Many members of our current committee dedicated to continuing the culture and example Chris sets were there to support and cheer for him on the night.

This year committee is introducing a weekly award and prize for a volunteer that deserves recognition. They will receive a certificate and voucher as reward.

Volunteers are the backbone of little athletics ensuring the kids can compete safely, effectively and efficiently. We look forward to recognizing the many that help out so much.

When week one rolls around don’t forget to slap Chris on the back and thank him for what he brings to Coburg little athletics. A small thank you can go a long way👌🏻
